Your assignment is to create a 30-second TV commercial (or 60 seconds if absolutely necessary). You will be the pitch man selling your product, and you will then overlay other shots and graphics on top of your original footage.

You must do this with a partner from class - take turns videotaping each other, and then you will each edit your own video.

The object you are selling can be just about anything you choose. You could be a used car salesman, a computer salesman, or even sell the school building.

You will need the following in your project:

Video - A main shot of you making your pitch for whatever you want to sell to the audience. This will be a wide shot, and the audio from this will be the main audio for the commercial. Shoot it several times if you have background noise or trouble getting good footage.

Medium Shot - A different medium shot, about from your shoulders on up. You will use both the audio and video from this.

Product Label - use Photoshop to create a custom label that will be attached to your product.

Product Shot - And then finally shoot a video closeup of the product. You will be using just the video from this shot and laying it on top of the audio from your sales pitch.

Fade In - Your commercial should quickly fade in at the beginning.

Product Name - When you announce the name of your product, the product name must show up on the screen in large color text using a display font

Title - You must have at least one other title as well in the commercial (listing the price or the benefits of your product).

Length - The completed commercial must be within 2 seconds of 30 or 60 seconds long (not including the title at the end).

Fade - Your commercial should also quickly fade out at the end before credits.

In the credits you also need to list anyone who assisted you

Convert to web - create an html page, a banner, and a thumbnail for the project, and link it to the index page

On Time - completion of project by due date
